The EU-funded Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) CATCH_VR project was recently highlighted in Engineering Review magazine, showcasing the successful Progress Meeting and 1st Training Workshop held at the University of Oradea, Romania, from June 26th to June 30th, 2024.
The event brought together project partners from leading institutions across Europe and Pakistan, including Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI), QUEST Nawabshah, and University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar (UETP). The workshop focused on advancing the integration of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Digital Twin technologies into higher education curricula, aiming to enhance technical training and foster innovation in STEM fields.
Participants engaged in hands-on training sessions, collaborative discussions, and strategic planning to ensure the successful implementation of immersive technologies in engineering education. The event also emphasized the importance of international collaboration in driving sustainable and innovative educational practices.
