Erasmus+ EU-Funded CATCH-VR Project Hosts Successful Workshop on AR/VR and Digital Twins at MUET

The Erasmus+ EU-funded CATCH-VR project, in collaboration with the Department of Electronic Engineering at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), successfully hosted a workshop on Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Digital Twins. The event brought together students, faculty, and industry professionals to explore the transformative potential of these cutting-edge technologies.
The workshop was graced by the presence of Dr. Aneel Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor of MUET, who extended his support and appreciation for the initiative. Dr. Kumar commended the efforts of the resource team and emphasized the importance of such events in fostering innovation and technical expertise among students and professionals.
The event also highlighted the visionary leadership of Prof. BS Chowdhry, whose guidance has been instrumental in driving the CATCH-VR project forward. Additionally, Dr. Shoaib Rehman Soomro was recognized for his valuable contributions to the workshop’s success, ensuring a seamless and impactful learning experience for all participants.
Attendees gained hands-on experience and insights into the applications of AR/VR and Digital Twins in various industries, including engineering, healthcare, education, and manufacturing. The interactive sessions provided a platform for participants to engage with experts, ask questions, and explore the practical implementation of these technologies.
This workshop is part of the ongoing efforts under the Erasmus+ CATCH-VR project to promote technical training and collaboration in immersive technologies. By bridging the gap between academia and industry, the project aims to equip participants with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
